Where everyone is someone and Jesus Christ is Lord

Plan of Salvation

What is Salvation? You hear it a lot in churches, but what are we being "saved" from?   The truth is we need to be saved from Hell, which we've earned because of our sin (Anything that displeases God).

Salvation is how God rescues us from eternal death in Hell.  He sent his only son, Jesus, to take the punishment we deserve so that we may have eternal life in heaven with God.  Salvation is through Faith in Jesus alone and cannot be earned by being a "good Person".

What do you think it takes to get to Heaven?

acknowledging that everyone has sinned, you personally have sinned against God, you deserve punishment for that sin, and asking God to forgive you.

  • If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9

  • For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;   Romans 3:23

  • For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord . Romans 6:23

Trusting that Jesus is who he said he is (God’s only Son),

          that he never sinned,

that he died on the cross (to take the punishment that you              deserve because of your sin),

that God raised him from the dead,

and that he is the only way you can be saved from                                      your sin.

  • For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

  •  Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

  • Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

  • But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Commit (Confess)

To say to God what you have already admitted and believed in your heart

To confess Jesus as Lord and commit your life to Him.

(TO find out what "Lord" means Click Here)

To put God first, and ask God to help you make the right  Choices.

  •  If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

  • for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13

  • Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,  Acts 3:19

Key Definitions

Sin- Anything that displeases God. Choosing your way instead of God’s way.

The Bible tells us everybody has sinned, and because of that we all deserve punishment (death)

Lord- your “boss”, your ultimate authority, your final answer;

Making Jesus your Lord is more than just saying something. It’s putting him first. It means you want God more than you want sin.

Baptism- A symbol to show the world that we are trusting in Jesus. It is not required for salvation but it is a commandment to follow once we are saved.
